The Company

Welcome to Peters Fraser and Dunlop (PFD)

The Peters Fraser and Dunlop agency is like no other in Britain. One of the oldest agencies in Britain, and a co-founder of the Association of Authors Agents, we are home to  a distinguished and varied client list, including Simon Schama, William Hague, Sarah Raven, Twiggy, Sir Max Hastings, Chris Patten, Philip Norman and such estates as V.S. Pritchett, C.S. Forester and Storm Jameson. We are headed up by Caroline Michel, the former publisher of Vintage and managing director of Harper Press. Working alongside her is one of Britain's foremost literary agents, Michael Sissons.  On our staff we also have the former editorial director of both Picador and Penguin.

Peters Fraser and Dunlop offers its clients something unique in British agenting. Calling on our many areas of expertise, we work closely together to deliver an unparalleled full service, covering all aspects of publishing and media businesses. We have an active Television Division that represents broadcasters. We work with TV companies to come up with complementary programming as well selling film and television rights for our book clients. We have a Public Speaking Division for clients who wish to give lectures and speak at events. Our Foreign Rights Division is there to make sure that our authors’ work is sold and published in foreign language markets. We have a Digital Division that represents our clients in the rapidly changing online world.
