Adrian Flanagan is an adventurer, entrepreneur and author. In May 2008 he completed the final leg of his remarkable journey – to be the first yachtsman to single-handedly sail “vertically” (north to south) round the earth.

 

Driven, focused and highly motivated, Adrian set three goals for himself as a teenager: to run his own business, be a published writer, and sail around the world alone. His rather eclectic set of goals was realised this year when he completed his journey. The Army-trained father of two has a degree in Osteopathic Medicine, and set up and ran a successful large scale grocery home delivery business.
