David Faber was educated at Eton and Balliol College, Oxford, where he read Modern languages. He served as an MP for Westbury between 1992 and 2001, is a member of the MCC Committee and Chairman of Clouds, a charity devoted to the treatment of drug and alcohol addiction. He is now a historian and writer, and lives in London with his wife and three children.
