The decision to leave a career in journalism was a logical choice for Ebony McKenna. There wasn't enough time in the day to write the fictional stories she wanted to tell, against the factual that she had to tell. She followed her heart towards writing science fiction, romance and young adult adventures. Ebony now writes full time and lives in Melbourne with her husband and young son.
Her new teen novel, Ondine: The Summer of Shambles is to be published this Spring by Egmont.
“First thing in the morning, I'm at the keyboard, letting the characters out of my head. Sometimes they're bursting to get out, other times they must be lured with coffee and chocolate.”
