Gavin James Bower

Gavin James Bower was born in 1982 and lives in London. Originally from Lancashire, he graduated from the University of Sheffield with a BA in History in 2004. While interning at Dazed & Confused magazine that summer, he was asked to model for the upcoming issue and subsequently joined modelling agencies in London, Paris and Milan.

After taking part in Paris Fashion Week shows for John Galliano and Hermes, he returned to London, where he worked in television production, as a web editor for an ‘ahead of its time’ climate change campaign and also as a freelance journalist. His journalism has appeared in Dazed & Confused, Flux, Clash and the Institute of Ideas’ Culture Wars.

His first novel, Dazed & Aroused, was published by Quartet Books in July 2009.
