At 29, Wes Butters is one of his generation’s most successful broadcasters and writers. He was one of only nine Radio 1 DJs to host the prestigious UK Top 40 chart show, won numerous awards, including a Sony, for his Galaxy breakfast show, and recently made a return to national radio on the BBC 6 Music breakfast show and BBC Radio 4, producing and presenting documentaries for the network via his independent production company.
He is a regular presenter on television and was the voice of The Brit Awards (ITV1), ASDA’s TV Christmas campaigns, Top of the Pops (BBC1), An Audience With Take That (ITV1), Live 8 (BBC) and countless albums and DVDs.
Wes is also a model (GQ, Vogue, Company etc), the guy behind the Crazy Frog record, and released his first book, Kenneth Williams Unseen, through publishers HarperCollins, to critical and public acclaim. The paperback version is due out in June 2009.
As well as his broadcasting and writing, Wes is masterminding a new training company, offering media courses run by some of the country’s best-known broadcasters.
He has a two-year old daughter named Maisie.
