Sandra Brown was educated at Coatbridge High School, Hamilton Colege and the Open University, which awarded her an Honours Degree in 1978 and a Masters in Education in 1996. A primary Deputy Headteacher, then a Senior Lecturer in Further Education, she is the author of a number or articles. Recently she has worked for a children's charity in Scotland, which has involved her in a wide range of issues affecting children and their parents, including child protection. WHERE THERE IS EVIL is her first book. She has recently been awarded an OBE.
