Veronique Christie


Veronique was born in Mauritius and emigrated to England at the age of four. She studied playwriting with Bernard Kops and later moved onto screenwriting, completing an MA in Screenwriting at the London College of Printing. Since graduating she has written for stage, screen and radio and is currently one of the core writers on Silver Street.

Selected to attend the migrations workshop run by BBC Scotland. 


 

1999 THE LOOK OF LOVE
Short comedy film, which was chosen from 600 scripts for the TAPS showcase at Teddington Studios. 


 

  UNDER THE INFLUENCE
Twenty four minute gritty teenage drama video about a group of friends whose Friday night ends in drunken disaster. Originally commissioned by Ava Hunt for the Nottingham Education Drugs team, it was subsequently distributed nationwide and was positively reviewed in the Times Educational Supplement. 


 


Theatre:

2002 PENGUIN SUITS AND SEQUINS
Full length play commissioned by the Kali Theatre Company. A rehearsed reading was given at the Waterman's Art Centre.
