Philippa Collie-Cousins was born in Ireland and brought up in Wales. A former 'Best Young Playwright' and 'Young Poet of the Year', she won 'The Silver Baird' for her first published play, KISSING WITH CONFIDENCE, when she was 21. She studied Drama at Warwick University under Trevor Nunn and Adrian Noble, and went on to the NFTS, studying under Mike Figgis, Mike Leigh and Istvan Szabo. Since graduating she has directed documentaries, commercials and a critically acclaimed, award-winning short film. Her most recent work is the black comedy feature HAPPY NOW. |
