Georgina Howell won the Vogue Talent Contest at 16, and was appointed fashion editor of The Observer in 1964, where she stayed until the birth of her son in 1967. While Features Editor of Vogue she wrote In Vogue, an analysis of the magazine since its British beginning in 1916, setting fashion against changes in society and politics. She continued to write for Tatler, Vanity Fair, American Vogue and The Sunday Times Magazine interviewing celebrities from Elizabeth Taylor to Hugh Grant, and been on rock tours with bands such as Guns n' Roses and U2. Her two latest books have been Diana: Her Life in Fashion, and Vogue Women. She lives in London and France with her husband. |
