11th. December 2007 :: Manchester Evening News Theatre Awards 2007

Congratulations to Sarah Esdaile on her success at this year's M.E.N. Theatre Awards, where "James and the Giant Peach" won Best Family Show. Sarah directed this piece at the Bolton Octagon. Click here for a full list of winners and nominees.
22nd. November 2007 :: International Emmy Awards 2007

Congratuations to SIMON SCHAMA who triumphed at the 2007 International Emmy Awards, winning the Arts Programming award for Simon Schama's Power of Art: Bernini.
BBC's The Street claimed 2 emmys, Best Actor (Jim Broadbent) and Best Drama Series. PFD clients BARBARA KIDD (Costume Design) and PAT CAMPBELL (Production Design) worked on this production.
20th. November 2007 :: The Lloyds TSB BAFTA Scotland Awards 2007

Congratulations to JULIAN MITCHELL and MARTYN FRIEND for their success in this year's BAFTA Scotland Awards. Julian won the award for Best Writing - TV for Consenting Adults (Lion Television/BBC4) and Martyn was one of the directors for the recent series of Rebus (SMG Productions), which won Best Drama. 13th. November 2007 :: ALEX LANIPEKUN stars in Spooks

ALEX LANIPEKUN joins Spooks in a new regular role, joining Miranda Raison, BBC One Tuesdays at 9pm. Claire Cox also guest stars.
8th. November 2007 :: International IMPAC Dublin Literary Award

Congratulations to John Boyne and Claire Kilroy whose novels The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas and Tenderwire respectively have been longlisted for the prestigious 2008 International IMPAC Dublin Literary Award.
The long list of the 137 writers nominated for the 2008 award - a Dublin City Council initiative and a partnership between the City Council and IMPAC - was announced this week by the Lord Mayor of Dublin, Cllr. Paddy Bourke. The Award, worth 100,000 euros, is the world's most valuable annual literary prize for a single work of fiction published in English. The nominations come from 161 libraries in 121 cities worldwide and can be viewed on www.impacdublinaward.ie
Dublin City Council will announce the shortlist on 2nd April 2008 and the winning novel will be announced by the Lord Mayor on 12th June 2008.
15th. October 2007 :: Grampian Children's Book Award

Congratulations to Sophie Mckenzie, Catherine Macphail and John Boyne whose books GIRL MISSING, WORSE THAN BOYS and THE BOY IN THE STRIPED PYJAMAS have all been nominated for next year's Grampian Children's Book Award which will be announced in May.
9th. October 2007 :: Raindance Film Festival
"Exhibit A", edited by DAVID CHARAP has won Best UK Feature at this year's Raindance Film Festival.
28th. August 2007 :: The Edinburgh Festival
THE ONE AND ONLY HERB MCGWYER PLAYS WALLIS ISLAND, directed by JAMES GRIFFITHS and written and performed by TIM KEY (and Tom Basden), won Best UK Short at The Edinburgh Film Festival .
Congratulations also to WE ARE TOGETHER, winner of the Audience Award, edited by PFD client MASAHIRO HIRAKUBO.
ANDREW MAXWELL narrowly missed out on a win at Saturday nights Eddie (formerly Perrier) Comedy Awards to Australian comic Brendan Burns.
